About Liz.

Liz Maguire is widely recognised as a thought leader in digital transformation in New Zealand, having led the digital teams at New Zealand’s largest bank, ANZ NZ. Under her leadership ANZ grew their digital function to 1.5m customers, with over 1m using the ANZ goMoney mobile App every day. In 2019 ANZ was the only bank named in Apple’s Top 30 Free Apps for the NZ App Store.
Liz’s focus on practical customer-centred innovation saw ANZ launch market-leading products such as goMoney Wallet, Apple Pay and Jamie, a world’s first digital human. ANZ was one of the first banks internationally to implement Agile at Scale organised around customer journeys. Under her leadership ANZ's frontline teams have saved hundreds of thousands of hours in the past five years. |
Our beliefs about digital transformation.
1. Digital technology should make people better off, both while they're using it, and over time.
2. Users are people. Design your tools for actual people and you can't go wrong.
3. Driving a culture of delivering for customers is more important than having the latest cool technology (although modern architecture does help!)
4. It's not rocket science! We use simple language and diagrams so that everyone can understand and get on board with what we are trying to do.
5. We walk the talk around agile. It's not just for development teams, it's for everyone.
